Jerome Declerck, PhD

Jerome graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris in 1993 (general Engineering School with emphasis on applied mathematics). He did a Numerical Analysis degree from University of Paris VI in 1993 and obtained a PhD from INRIA in 1997, on image analysis of cardiac images (nuclear medicine, MRI) under the supervision of Pr Nicholas Ayache. He then did a post-doc at Johns Hopkins University, under the supervision of Dr Elliot Mcveigh.

He joined Siemens Molecular Imaging (at the time, Oxford Medical Image Analysis) in 1999 to develop image processing solutions for cardiac image analysis and registration techniques. After the merger between OMIA and Oxiva to create Mirada Solutions in 2001, the team expanded and Jerome took the position of Chief Scientist, to direct the Science and Technology Team which provides new algorithms and methods to incorporate in the products. The research topics are concentrating on image fusion, quantification and labelling segmentation.
