Nele Famaey, MSc

Nele Famaey graduated as a mechanical engineer from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2006. She is currently working on a PhD at the KULeuven in the division of Biomechanics and Engineering design, concerning intra-operative measurement and modelling of mechnical tissue properties in minimally invasive surgery.

Major research interests are:

• Haptics
• Soft tissue biomechanics
• Robot aided surgery
