Judith Muehl works as senior researcher at Graz University of Technology, Austria since January 2006. Her research interests include visualization and interaction techniques in virtual and augmented reality, physically based simulation, as well as software systems and architecture. In the context of ARIS*ER she works on simulating the radiofrequency ablation process. Prior to working in the Marie Curie Research Training Network ARIS*ER at TU Graz, she was working at Fraunhofer Institute for Media Communications, Germany, at Karlsruhe University (TH), Germany, and at Fraunhofer Center for Research in Computer Graphics Inc., USA. Her work focused on multi-modal interaction in different application areas such as collaborative augmented reality based eLearning, ubiquitous augmented reality for manufacturing systems, and multi-modal interaction in virtual environments and smart rooms. Within ARIS*ER she focuses on radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors. Judith Muehl studied at Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. She holds two Master's Degrees, one in physics and one in computer science (Dipl.-Phys. and Dipl.-Inform.), both from TU Darmstadt, Germany.
