Prof. Eigil Samset, PhD

Eigil Samset is the co-ordinator of the ARIS*ER project. He is Director of the Image-Guided Therpay Technology at the Interventional Centre and Adjacent Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics and CMA.

Graduated as Master of Science in Engineering Cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim in 1997. Specialized in medical imaging. Diploma completed at Stanford University, California, USA in intravasvular ultrasound. Awarded PhD from the University of Oslo at the Faculty of Medicine in 2003. The thesis was entitled "MRI-Guided interventions, technological solutions" and the work was carried out at Rikshospitalet University Hospital, The Interventional Centre.
