The 4th edition of the ARIS*ER Summer School will be held in Otranto, Southern Italy, from June 9th to 13th 2008. This event covers all technology challenges for Minimally Invasive Therapies and presents innovative solutions for medical image diagnostics and analysis, robotics, haptics, as well as virtual reality.
The hosting partner (IFC-CNR) is pleased to organize this event in the Aragonese Castle of Otranto. This historic fortress was built by Ferdinand I of Aragon between in the XV century. From its terraces, you will enjoy splendid views on the crystal and limpid sea of the harbor and on the narrow and winding streets of the historical centre. Otranto is called "Orient Gate", as this is the most oriental point of Italy.
This Conference-School represents a unique occasion where the audience - medical doctors, technology specialists, engineers, research scientists and students - meet all together facing the new challenges in a multidisciplinary approach. Invited speakers - coming from most prestigious research institutions, academics, industries and hospitals - will present their most recent and advanced results of research. All ARIS*ER community will take the opportunity to show and discuss their last advances of their task related to the ARIS*ER project. Cutting-edge companies will participate with Demos of their products.
