There is a lot to do apart from having fun and informal discussions with the other members of Ariser. The beautiful surroundings of the cottage invite for walks in the woods. The highest mountain in the area, Rennevassvarden (1076 m), is about 1.5 hour walk from the cottage.
If there is snow, there are many possibilities for cross-country skiing. The tracks are near-by the cottage and well kept.
For those who prefare down-hill skiing, there are several centers just about an hour drive away. For example Vrådal ski-center (45 km) with modern ski-lift and impressive log slopes and Rauland ski-center (60 km) to name a few.
We are planning two trips for Saturday. Those of you who like mountain-climbing or skiing, there will be a trip to Gaustadtoppen (a nearby-montain with a spectacular view) or to a skiing-resort (if there is enough snow).
If you are not into skiing you can joint a trip to Rjukan. One of the largest Norwegian companies, Hydro, was founded there. There is also a museum where you can learn about the Norwegian resistence fights against the Nazi Germany.
